| Barton earns another tie
The Barton County Community College women’s soccer team rallied
to score its 2nd tie in the past 3 games, finishing in a 1-all
contest with Northern Oklahoma at Cougar Fields Thursday. With
the tie in the non-conference affair, Barton is now 8-5-4 overall
and remains 4-1-1 in the Conference.
Highlights
Northern Oklahoma, which has spent time ranked in the Top 15 this
season, took a 1-0 lead just prior to halftime when Kim Carley
found the goal with under 1 minute to play in the half. The game
remained 1-0 until the 65-minute mark when Richelle Galeaz tied
the contest for the Cougars on an assist from Alexis Entwisle.
It was the 14th goal this season for Galeaz.
The Cougar defense allowed Northern Oklahoma just 5 shots on goal
the entire game with goalkeeper Laura Henkenmeier stopping 4 of
those. Barton put 7 shots on goal for its one goal.
