Barton women earn 3-3 tie at Newman
The Barton County Community College women's soccer team just missed matching their win total from last year in the first month of this season, finishing with a 3-all tie at Wichita against Newman University. The Cougars are 3-2-1 overall this season.

Highlights
Barton led in the game's final minute before a Newman goal evened the match at 3-all. Breanne Riggs and Regina Zink continue to score for the Cougars as Riggs recorded two goals and Zink had a goal and an assist in the tie.

Riggs put Barton on top just 4:12 into the contest, scoring an assist from Zink. After the Cougars fell behind 2-1, Zink evened the match at 2-all in the first half on an assists from Richelle Galeaz. Riggs gave Barton a 3-2 led with 68:26 gone in the game on an unassisted goal before the Jets tied the score with just 37 seconds to play.
