| Barton women blanked at Johnson County
The Barton County Community College women’s soccer team saw
it’s chances for a Jayhawk Conference title slip away Saturday
in Overland Park, falling to Johnson County by a 10-0 score. The
loss dropped the Cougars to 4-2-1 in the conference with just 2
conference games remaining. Johnson County has finished conference
play with a 7-2 mark while Butler is on top at 8-0 and has clinched
the Jayhawk title. The Cougars need one more win to secure 3rd
place.
Highlights
The game was scoreless for the first 15 minutes before Johnson
began scoring goals. The Cavaliers scored two goals in a span
of 2 minutes for a 2-0 lead and ended the half with 3 goals in
a 6-minute stretch to push the lead to 6-0 by halftime. The Cougars
put just 5 shots on goal the entire contest.
