Cougar women open Jayhawk action with win at Cloud County
The Barton County Community College women’s soccer team jumped to the head of the Jayhawk Conference for the first time in school history, opening conference action with a 1-0 win over Cloud County Wednesday in Concordia. The win moves Barton to 3-2 overall this season and 1-0 in the Jayhawk.

Highlights
The Cougars lone goal came midway through the first half when Richelle Galeaz scored at the 20:39 mark of the contest on an assist from Karla Martinez.

The Cougars dominated the play, keeping the ball on the Cloud’s half of the field nearly the entire the game. The Thunderbirds were only able to get one shot on goal the entire contest while Barton had 19.
