Vieyra signs to play for Barton women’s soccer next season
The Barton County women’s soccer team added a player for next season when Ashley Vieyra signed to play for the Cougars next season. Vieyra is a graduate of Hutchinson High School, where she played soccer for two seasons.
Vieyra, who chose Barton over other 2-years schools in the state, said she really like the coaching staff when she visited the Barton campus. “I really enjoyed Coach (Cindy) Piper’s personality,” Vieyra said.

Barton women soccer put two on All-Conference honorable mention
The Barton County women’s soccer team took another step this past week while not even playing a contest. For the first time in the short 2-year history of the program, the Cougars had players named to the All-Conference team.

Barton advances in shoot-out win over Cloud
The Barton County Community College women's soccer team moved into the semifinals of the Region VI tournament, advancing in a shoot-out with Cloud County. After the two teams battled to a 1-all tie after four overtimes, the Cougars advanced by winning the shoot-out.

Cougars women receive forfeit win; host playoff game
The Barton County Community College women's soccer team received a forfeit win Monday over Neosho County. Neosho did not have enough players and did not make the trip to Great Bend for the season finale.

Cougars earn double OT win
The Barton County Community College women's soccer team earned its third win of the season, scoring a thrilling 1-0 double overtime win over Cloud County in Concordia.
The Cougars are now 3-11 for the season.
