season ends with loss to East Champion Cowley County
The Barton County Community College women’s basketball
team saw its season come to an end Wednesday night with an 81-41
loss
to Cowley County in the first round of the Region VI basketball
tournament at Arkansas City.
Barton
drops season finale at Dodge City
The
Barton County Community College women’s basketball team dropped
its season finale at Dodge City Saturday, falling to the Conquistadors
by an 81-55 score. The
loss drops Barton County to 11-19 overall and 4-12 in the Jayhawk
West. Barton will start Region VI playoff action Wednesday at Cowley
County. The tip is set for 6 p.m. Dodge City ends its season with
an 8-8 West record and a 21-9 overall mark.
Cougar
beaten by No. 14 Cloud County
The
Barton County Community College women’s basketball team lost
its final home game of the season, falling to No. 14 ranked Cloud
County, 75-50 on sophomore night at the Wednesday at the Barton
County Gym. The
loss drops Barton County to 11-18 overall and 4-11 in the Jayhawk
West. Cloud concludes it regular season with an 11-5 West record
and a 25-5 overall mark.
Cougar
miss chance to lock up No. 7 seed
The
Barton County Community College women’s basketball team just
missed putting together back-to-back wins and securing the No. 7
in the West, falling to Butler County in double overtime, 85-80,
Saturday night at the Barton County Gym. The
loss drops Barton County to 11-17 overall and 4-10 in the Jayhawk
West. Butler is now 13-15 overall and 4-10 in the West.
Barton
women continue to play well at home
The
Barton County Community College women’s basketball team continued
its good play at home, knocking off Hutchinson Wednesday night at
the Barton County Gym, 59-48, behind some of the Cougars best shooting
of the season. The
win improves Barton County to 11-16 overall and 4-9 in the Jayhawk
West. Hutchinson is now 18-9 overall and 7-6 in the West.
