Pinnock ends 2004 Summer Olympics in hurdle semifinals
Chris Pinnock made his first time into the Olympics a successful, advancing all the way to the semifinals before seeing his initial visit come to an end. Pinnock, a former hurdler for Barton County Community College, took 8th during Heat 1 of the 110m High Hurdles at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

Pinnock ran a 13.57 in the opening heat won by fellow Jamaican Maurice Wingall in 13.17. That time set a new Jamaican National record. Pinnock had a run 13.47 and a 13.42 in his two previous rounds to advance to the semifinals. Those times would not have taken the 2001 Cougar graduate into the finals as 13.23 was the 4th and final qualifying time in the heat.
