| Former Cougars win NCAA titles
Several former Barton County Community College track and field
stars have added NCAA National Champion to their resume after
this past weekend’s NCAA Track and Field Championships
in Sacramento, Calif.
Former
Barton tracksters accounted for four individual champions as
well as one member of a relay team. Aleen Bailey doubled
up as a National Champ, winning the women’s 100m and 200m.
Hyleas Fountain won the Heptathlon gold medal while Leevan Sands
won the men’s long jump. He just missed doubling up as well,
placing 2nd in the triple jump.
