Barton places 3 on 1st team All Region soccer team
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team placed 3 members on the All Region VI soccer team recently. Barton County, 10-0 in Region VI play during the regular season, had 3 more player earn 2nd team honors as well. All 6 players were tabbed as All Jayhawk West selections.

Cougars season ends with semifinal loss
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team saw its season come to an early end with a 1-0 upset loss to Kansas City Kansas in the semifinals of the Region VI soccer tournament held in Overland Park. The loss for the top seeded Cougars ended their season with a 16-7 overall mark. KCK, the No. 4 seed, won the tournament, defeating the 3rd seed, Cloud County, 2-1 in the title game.

Barton moves into semifinals of Region VI action
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team moved into the semifinals of the Region VI Tournament with a 9-0 win over Neosho County Tuesday afternoon at Cougars Fields. The win improved the Cougars, the top seed in the tournament, to 16-6 overall this season. Barton will play Friday at 12:30 pm in Overland Park in semifinal action.
Barton will play Kansas City Kansas, who defeated Dodge City 3-2 in overtime.

Cougars complete perfect 10-0 Jayhawk Conference season
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team wrapped up a perfect Jayhawk Conference season with a 6-0 win over Neosho County Wednesday in Chanute. The win gave Barton a perfect 10-0 Jayhawk Conference record and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Region VI playoffs. Barton is now 15-6 overall. Neosho fell to 1-8 and 1-13.

Barton wraps up Jayhawk title with win at Johnson County
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team captured its first Jayhawk Conference regular season title with a 2-1 win over Johnson County in Overland Park. The Cougars won the Region VI post-season title last year but this is the school’s first regular season championship. Barton is now 14-6 overall and 9-0 in the Conference. Johnson County fell to 13-6 overall and 9-1 in Jayhawk play.

Cougars earn win over No. 10 Northern Oklahoma
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team finally won one of those close games against a top team with a 1-0 win over Northern Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon at Cougars Fields. Northern Oklahoma entered the contest ranked No. 10 in the NJCAA poll.
Barton also received a win over Western Nebraska this week in a game they had earlier lost. The Cougars lost 3-2 in overtime to Western Nebraska back on Sept. 14 in the Mid Kansas ShootOut. But Western Nebraska used an illegal player and forfeited the game to Barton County. The Cougars record now stands at 13-6 for the season. The loss was the first of the year for the Mavericks, which fell to 13-1-2.

Barton drops heartbreaker to Iowa Central in overtime
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team lost another tough contest Saturday at Great Bend, falling to No. 14 Iowa Central by a 2-1 score in overtime. It is the 6th loss for the Cougars by a single goal. With the setback, Barton falls to 9-7 on the season. Iowa Central improves to 9-1.

Barton rallies for 4-2 win over West foe Cloud County
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team rallied in the 2nd half to earn a 4-2 win over Cloud County in Region VI action Wednesday at Cougar Fields. Barton kept its Region VI mark perfect at 5-0 this season and now has a 2-game lead in the Western half of the Region VI standings. The Cougars are 8-5 overall.

Cougar men drop two close soccer contests in Texas
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team left Texas this weekend with a pair of tough losses under its belt, falling in two 1-0 contests. The Cougars lost Saturday in Tyler, Texas to Tyler College 1-0 before losing by an identical score to Lon Morris Sunday afternoon. The losses drop Barton to 7-5 this season.

Cougars shut out Dodge to remain on top of Jayhawk standings
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team moved to 3-0 in the Jayhawk Conference, scoring a 4-0 shutout of Dodge City on the road Wednesday. Barton is now 7-3 overall this season and the lone unbeaten team in the western half of the conference. Johnson County is also 3-0 in the East.

Barton splits games at Mid Kansas ShootOut
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team split a pair of games over the weekend at the Mid Kansas ShootOut on the campus of Barton County. The Cougars won Saturday over Bethany Lutheran by a 4-2 margin before falling in double overtime to Western Nebraska Sunday by a 3-2 count. The Cougars are now 6-3 overall this season. Western Nebraska improved to 3-1.

Cougars win easily over Region foe Hesston
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team captured a Region VI contest, defeating Hesston College by a 7-0 blanking Wednesday at Cougar Fields. The win moves No. 14 ranked Barton to 5-2 for season and 3-0 in Region VI contests.

Cougars win home opener; 2-0 in Jayhawk play
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team captured its home opener Saturday, rolling to a 6-1 in over Jayhawk Conference foe Kansas City Kansas. The win moved Barton to 4-2 on the season and 2-0 in Jayhawk play. KCK is 0-4 overall and 0-1 in conference action.

Barton men’s soccer wins Jayhawk opener at Cloud County
The Barton County Community College men’s soccer team opened Jayhawk Conference action with a 3-1 win over Cloud County in Concordia Wednesday. The Cougars moved to 3-2 overall with the win and 1-0 in the Jayhawk Conference.

Cougars ranked No. 10 in preseason soccer poll
Coming off the team’s first appearance at the NJCAA National Tournament, the Barton County Community College men’s soccer found its way into the NJCAA preseason poll for the first time in school history. The upcoming season is just third year for the program at Barton County.
The Cougars are ranked No. 10 in the preseason poll after finishing 7th last season at the NJCAA Tournament. Barton County went 14-6-4 last season with two of those losses coming at the NJCAA event. The Cougars ran off a 10-game unbeaten streak at one time last season.
