| Barton has secured its home playoff contest to start Region VI play next week and has an outside shot at 3rd in the West. For that to happen, Barton would have to win at Colby while Cloud lost at home to Dodge and at Hutchinson.....Barton's 5-game winning streak is 1 short of a season best of 6, which Barton did twice in the non conference slate. The 5-game winning streak is the longest in the West currently.....Chip Steven has been one of the leading scorers for Barton the past 8 games - reaching double figures in all 8 contest. He is scoring 16 points a game in those 8 and even better at 18 a game in the last 4. |
Colby has won just 1 times in its last 12 Jayhawk West games. The Trojans started the West season at 2-0 before dropping 11 of 12. Colby has strung together wins only once this year, beating Highland, Garden, and Pratt in 3 straight games. Colby has at least 6 losing streaks of 2 games or more. They are currently on a 4-game losing streak - the longest of the year matched on 3 other occassions.....Colby had won 6 straight against Barton in the Community Building until a Barton win last season. |
