NJCAA Poll

Barton women 6th at tough Region VI Championships
The Barton Community College women’s cross country team finished 6th at a very tough Region VI Championships recently at Colby. The meet had 3 teams ranked in the Top 10 and 6 in the Top 20. The teams nearly finished in order of their NJCAA rankings with Butler – the No. 1 team in the nation – winning the event and Johnson County – ranked 3rd in the NJCAA – placing 2nd. Cowley (9th) finished 3rd followed by Colby (12th), Garden City (11th), and Barton (19th).The Barton men did not field a team in the meet.

Cougar women 2nd at Cavalier Cup; men place 2 in top 7
The Barton Community College cross country team started its season in impressive fashion at the Cavalier Cup at Johnson County recently. Both the men and women displayed some positive things with 2 of the men’s 3 runners at the event placing in the top 7. Barton women finished 2nd to No. 4 ranked and host school Johnson County.
