"Retro Night" - 2010 Homecoming Activities

Saturday Feb 13 Cougar basketball teams host Butler CC - Barton’s 40th Anniversary Homecoming Night - Barton Cheer and Dance Teams perform combo routine to music of the past and reliving the good ‘ol days from the 60’s and 70’s - Wear your old Barton t-shirts, sweatshirts, and/or jackets - Donations accepted of old Barton clothing for to be used to make quilts to re-sell, as well as, have in the Barton Foundation Big Benefit Auction to raise money for scholarships.

  Celebrating 40 years of History!
Saturday, Jan. 30th - As part of Barton’s year-long celebration of 40 years of serving our communities, the Cougar Booster Club and Cougar Athletics will be recognizing members of its history.  During the halftime of the men’s game, there will be a recognition of past Hall of Fame members and Boosters of the Year.  At this time, we’ve had a great response of over 40 past members returning for this celebration so we hope you will enjoy seeing some familiar faces….such as Jerry McCarty, Shane Cordell, Jerry Mullen, and many many more!!!After the ball game we invite you for a celebratory reception with snacks & beverages at Perkins Family Restaurant (2920 10th Street) *The reception will be held in the banquet room located on the north end of the restaurant.  Since an event such as this requires some pre-planning….we are asking you RSVP (yes, no, maybe) to Todd as soon as possible.  **Even if you don’t RSVP you are more than welcome to come….we are simply trying to get an estimation of the amount of people to be able to plan food and beverages.  We hope you are excited as we are for a fun night of taking a trip down memory lane with fellow Cougar fans and reconnect with those we haven’t seen in awhile.  Hope to see you Saturday night, January 30!

Cash Prizes! - The Cougar Booster Club is sponsoring a charity Texas Hold 'em tournament Sunday, October 18. Register onsite at the event starting at 11:00am with the tournament starting at 1:00pm.
$25 Chair Rental, Highland Hotel and Convention Center (Heritage Room), 3017 10th Street, Great Bend, KS
Concessions provided. Proceeds to benefit the Cougar Booster Club to help support Cougar Athletic initiatives.
