Barton County Community College’s Career and Technical Education Division, through its learning opportunities, curriculum and supporting environment empower students to achieve competency in their field and enhance their employability so they can contribute to the communities they serve. We invite and assist all students to acquire a core of knowledge and skills to succeed personally and professionally while nurturing ethical and moral standards.

Goals
In our commitment to education, the Career and Technical Division will ensure that:

  • Students have the skills and knowledge required for successful entry into the workplace
  • Students have the work ethics, discipline, and collaborative skills necessary to be successful in the workplace
  • Students have the skills and knowledge necessary to maintain, advance, or change their employment or occupation
  • Students desiring academic advancement will be prepared for successful transfer to other colleges and universities
  • Students will demonstrate oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Where applicable, completers receive appropriate credentials
